It was 1987 and I was heavily under the influence of NWW, Current93, Throbbing Gristle, Pierre Schaeffer and Pierre Henry. I was desparate to do my own version. Although it still carries all the marks of the above artists I still think it is well worth a listen.

I released this in an edition of 11, spread among friends. It consisted of two c30 cassettes and three leaflets with poetry that was leaning towards the writings of Gertrude Stein. These poems have been used in two other series of compositions, the first was "Mama, study of a human tongue" (1987) and the other was "Karawane 1917" which is due to be released later this year.

This remaster was done in 2010, adding a lot of dynamics to the original. The downloads are in 24bit FLAC, so the quality is better than CD (let alone mp3)!!
